We were contacted by a volunteer – two fox terriers were abandoned near Salamanca – they were chained up in a barn – they have lived their lives on short chains and without the kindness or comfort they should have had. We agreed to take them and change their lives – so through a lovely group of volunteers they were moved to kennels in Spain and to safety – they will shortly move to the UK.
The girls are Mother and daughter we believe – they are very bonded and we feel at this stage we would prefer a home that could take both together. We will assess further as we get to know them – but the smaller girl is very timid and finds her strength in her companion.
What we know – they are lovely, good with other dogs and loves people – unknown about small furry animals like cats
They are approx 8 years old and 4 years old – this is the original post we responded to (the third dog was adopted in Spain via another rescue):
The girls in kennels – happier and braver
