Ronnie – Airedale – Rehomed

Ronnie is an airedale that bounced around several homes in Spain – we had offered to help and eventually the family decided he didnt need to bounce around anymore

He came to the UK and in foster – he was quite confused and also had several intestinal bugs to contend with.  He was given the time and space to find his paws and he did!

He is a cheeky boy and has Airedale character to spare.  He is funny, mischievous and loves a good dash around his garden.

He has been rehomed and we could not be happier for him

Freddy – Wire Fox Terrier

Update January 2023

Freddy has settled well in kennels, he has a nice routine and loves the ladies.  We have gotten to know Freddy and he is turning into a delightful dog.  He likes his people , he loves his toys, and he loves his treats and chews.  He has met a lot of new people and is always happy to meet them.  Freddy could go to the right home – this home would be a calm, child free and most importantly a dog free home.  Freddy HATES ALL OTHER DOGS.  So a home where he could have his own garden to potter around in and his own family to live with would be ideal.  He is not the dog that goes for walks or trips to the pub – if he sees another dog – the red mist descends.  He has had problems with grooming – but now we can wash and scissor him – except his face – but he is a work in progress

Freddy came to the U.K. from Romania with another rescue – he was placed in a flat in a busy town centre – and unfortunately he was finding it difficult to cope.  He was becoming anxious and his behaviour with other dogs was escalating.  As he was in a flat – the family were finding it hard to manage his needs and walking was becoming very difficult.

The rescue approached us as they did not have a suitable solution for him.  We agreed to take him and we moved him to kennels in NOrfolk.

Freddy is approx 5 years old – he really is a rural type dog.  He loves his people and his open spaces – but he cannot manage busy lives- he also hates dogs.  He really cannot be trusted around other dogs.

As he is doing well with the volunteers – we would consider a home that has a suitable garden  and has no intention of walking him.  We will give full support to any prospective family but it is with the understanding his world remains small

He did have some issues with his former home – he did not like being groomed, could be possessive over food – but we have not had any of these issues with him in kennels.

We are working on his anxiety levels – and as he calms and realises the world is not a threatening place – he will slowly improve his behaviour around other dogs.

He will turn into the wonderful dog we know he is – but it will require a lot of support.

If you feel you could be this home for him – then please apply.  But due to his history we will expect several visits and also sessions with our volunteers.

Isabella – Wire Fox Terrier – Rehomed

Update 1st June 2022 – Isabella is approx 9 months old – she arrived in the U.K. with her brother – she is a delightful little girl with sticky up ears.

She is being fostered in Herts and her foster thinks she is a cutie – but a little dog with a big personality.  She lives well with her two males foster brothers – sadly she does not like her foster sister – and she has proven to be unfriendly to female dogs in the home.  She has also decided she does not like cats.

She is turning into a lovely girl – but she is still learning how to manage herself in the wide world.   You will need a safely enclosed garden for Isabella to enjoy exploring as she is currently only on small forays into the outside world while she is learning how to manage.

She is being fostered in Herts – and any prospective family would need to be prepared to travel to meet her. You can also see more FAQs on our website.

All checks will apply and you will need to sign a Spey agreement.

This is the wonderful Isabella – she is 6/7 month old male Fox Terrier. SHe is coming from Romania and was dropped at a rescue along with her brother – we are privileged that they entrust us with her rehoming. She has been to the Vets and will be ready to travel at the end of the month. SHe is a baby and will probably be a smallish Fox Terrier when grown. We are looking for a family that will have the time and patience for her and follow our guidance – they will also need to sign a Neutering agreement and spay when she is old enough. She will not have had any guidance and probably has never lived in a home – so although she is lovely and people/dog friendly – she will still need a slow introduction to ‘urban’ life. We will give you the support – but you must follow our guidance – she is ready for adoption to the right home…

Minnie – Terrier Cross – Rehomed

Update March 2022

Dear all – This is the lovely Minnie – Minnie has been in foster and we have learnt a lot about her and we really are looking for the right home for her.

✅Can live with other dogs
✅Garden preferred
❎No small furries (including cats)

She is a terrier cross – and I have name the breed: Wire Weenie (she is a sausage wire terrier). She is doing well with her foster family – it took a couple of weeks to settle – but she is fine with them now. The problem is they are older dogs and she is a young dog that just wants to play and run and chew – so she needs to be an only dog or live with a dog/dogs that will cope/enjoy a spirited young’un.

She is learning to walk on lead and is not being walked anywhere with a lot of activity – she needs to adjust to urban life and this is something our foster is working on. So she must have access to a garden – and you must understand that she will need a slow introduction to life.

She has a high prey drive – and this means che cannot live with small furry animals (especially cats)

Please say hello to our lovely Minnie – this little bundle of joy has arrived in the UK and is finding her paws in Foster.

What we do know about Minnie – she is 7/8 months – perfectly healthy.  She is a smallish dog – her foster calls her a fun wirey sausage.  She loves her humans and a cuddle and just enjoying life – she is a little wary of resident dogs and we are working on that relationship.  She is taking to house training and is slowly being introduced to life as a pet.

She was found as a stray in Romania – and like many dogs from Romania – they have not had many positive human interactions and generally will need more time to settle and process their new world

We have been told she is cat tolerant – but we are not able to test this.

We will have more updates as our foster gets to know her (she is being fostered in Berwick)
