Zippy & Zappy Small Terrier brothers

2 males, neutered, approx age 18 months – 24 months

These wonderful boys were saved from an unknown fate in a Spanish perrera, they are terrier crosses and we have had great fun in guessing their heritage – our most popular suggestions are Norfolk, Cairn, Yorkshire terrier – so a Nocayork terrier!

They are the dynamic duo – they must be rehomed together as these are very bonded brothers. When they first arrived they were very uncertain and timid, but with patience and reassurance the boys have blossomed. They are bundles of fun with an infectious energy.

They have learned to play with toys and love nothing more than a game of chase-me – indoors or out. They are devoted to eachother – sharing food and toys – and have no possession or aggression issues. This is also true with other dogs. They can be wary of big dogs (they are only little!) but soon relax and play.

They travel well in the car, and are fine with most people – they can be wary of some men – so gentle introductions at first – if they are frightened they bark at the offender – but can be brought round with some kind encouragement.

They love to be near you and will cuddle and kiss you. A personal favourite of their foster – is their game of dragging themselves round the floor froggy legged – they do this while playing chase-me – such a hilarious pair of boys.

They do suffer from some separation anxiety – they are desperate for human interaction – so the thought of being left alone causes them stress. This manifests itself in barking/crying for about 15-20 minutes and they have also been known to have stress piddles in the hallway – this is being worked on and we are using different distraction techniques – this will be explained to any prospective applicant. But it is something that will need to be continued and built upon. Considering how much they have changed/adapted in such a short period – we are sure they will improve with their anxiety if it is worked on with patience and time.

They would best suit a home where they will not be left on a regular basis, and a household that will have the patience and compassion to give them that time to develop.

We are only looking to rehome them together.

Both boys have their passports, are neutered and are fully vaccinated.

No cats or small furries.  Children: 10+
