This is Diabolo – we were asked to help some dogs from a breeding kennel in France – they were downsizing and the dogs were surplus to requirement. So if we did not act fast – who knows where they would of ended up? We took 3 dogs – and this is one of them.
Diabolo is a fizzy drink in France – and we think it is an apt name for our Diabolo – he is fizzy – a full on Fox Terrier. He is always up for life – he likes to rearrange things, make his presence known, be in the middle of a scrum that he possibly started…A great boy, full of love and joy – but just the glint of naughty in his eyes. He is 7/8 years old and in fine health (he does have poor teeth) – he is a handsome boy and ready for his new home. Although he is ok with dogs – he would be better as an only dog as he really does like to be a true terrier and push buttons – he could live with a larger dog that would be able to live with that. No young children and no small furries.
Enor is part of the trio we’ve just taken on, she was born in July 2009, and so far, she has only known life in kennels as a breeding machine. She is getting ready to travel (arriving at the end of January 2016). We have been told she is lovely, but we will be able to tell you more once she is in our direct care.
As she is a former breeding dog, her new family must be prepared to put the work in to help her become a pet. She may not be house-trained, she may be scared by things we totally take for granted at home or outside. Are you the super duper family she deserves? Elton is part of a trio we were asked to help. A breeder was ‘downsizing’ and we had to hurry, otherwise the dogs were going to be sold on for more breeding, or worse!
This is the scrummy Elton. Unlike his freind Diabolo, Elton is a much calmer soul. He is 7/8 years old and a little more timid. He is looking for a home that will give him love and affection, and have the time to help him become a pet. Being timid, he will need time to adjust to his new life. He is fine with other dogs – but not with small furries. He is always looking for your attention, and really wants to be part of a family. He chewed his tail on the trip over here due to stress – but the fur is growing back nicely. He has been to the groomers and they say he is a delightful boy – he has gone through so much change in a short span of time but has taken it all in his stride. Just a delightful boy.
He is 6. In Norfolk. Neutered, vaccinated, passported.
Please meet Scopie our Terrier SOS OAP from France. She has now arrived in foster in London and settling in, still a bit confused as her life has changed dramatically – no more Kennels for Madame Scopie!
She was born in November 2001 (she is 14) – and has lived in the shelter for the past two years. She is hard of hearing and almost blind, but getting by really well, she still finds her way round.
We went for a drive and walk today – she was perfect in the car – and walks well on lead too – we are looking for a retirement home for her and will do a proper posting about her during the week – but please consider our Oldies – they deserve to have a family and spend what time they have surrounded with love and care.
She is looking for a retirement home and is fine with people and calm dogs. She loves cuddles. Due to her age and what she has been through – we want a lovely calm home for her to see out what time she has left in comfort and love.
Cassidy is a 2 year old Lurcher/Terrier cross, that has just arrived in London foster from Romania. Until now she has always lived in kennels. Being the bright young thing that she is, Cassidy has made giant strides to becoming a pet – mastering house training and walking on the lead, and generally acting in a very well behaved manner. With other dogs she is already v perfect, and with her unique looks she has also become a hit with dog walkers and the general public. She is very affectionate & inquisitive. Cassidy could easily be in a household with other dogs, or on her own. If you want to wake up to a waggy tail with a dog that has a zest for life, Cassidy is the dog for you.
She is dog and people friendly. She has now been cat-tested and appears to be fine, keeping her distance, staying calm and not showing much interest.

History: Her humane shelter in Romania reported: Cassidy is a very sweet girl, spayed, fully vaccinated, medium size (15 kilos). She is two. She is playful and loving to people, curious about new things. Cassidy gets on well with everyone and loves to run and play with other dogs.
She was abandoned as a very small puppy at our gate and she got through a rough winter and grew up into a beautiful young lady. She is still a bit shy and will need to learn how to live as a pet in your home, which she hasn’t experienced. Lots of patience and love needed.
