Lucas parsons jack russell terrier

This is the lovely Lucas ‘Little Legs’. Another dog that found himself out of time at the perrera – he got ready in Spain and is now in the UK. What we know about Lucas – his tail never stops wagging – he is up for life and wants to get things started. He is a typical JRT – he is great as long as you manage the excitement levels – he loves to play – but if it gets too heated he can be feisty – so his new home will preferably have JRT experience – and be prepared to soften the terrier edges. He loves his Terrier SOS brother Granville too. He is bright, fun, loving and a pure joy. This dog always walks on the sunny side of the street – and is a sweetheart – with just a dash of the terrier sin.

He is between one and two years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, passported and microchipped. He is ready for his new home – he can live with other dogs provided they are calmer or not bothered by his JRT ways. He really needs a family that has the time for him.

In foster in Norfolk.

Granville

Oh my – what can we say – this is the wonderful Terrier SOS Granville. Another dog dumped in the perrera in Spain. A young boy – he is full of vim and vigour. Granville is a great dog – true terrier spirit – but not as prey driven as some. Keeping still is difficult for him – especially if there are people and dogs to meet and greet. He will need a home with time on their hands to help him learn some manners. He is fine with dogs and people, but just not used to living an urban life.

He is a bright, fun, loving little terrier ready for his new family. He loves and gets on well with his Terrier SOS pal, Lucas – both are located in Norfolk.

He is between one and two, neutered, fully vaccinated, passported and microchipped. He is ready for his new home – he can live with other dogs – he is dog savvy. He really needs a family that has the time for him.

Conlaf Terrier Cross

This is the amazing Conlaf.  A dog that was abandoned in a protectora (rescue) in Spain and forgotten – he has lived most of his life in kennels in Spain.  We saw him and it was love at first sight!  So when the rescue asked if we could help – we said of course!  He has come to the UK and is being fostered in Notts.  The foster thinks he is just a wonderful foster boy and has not put a paw wrong.  Considering everything he has been through – we think he is a wonder dog and any family that will have the privilege of sharing their life with this dog will be the luckiest family around!

Conlaf is a happy boy – a very happy, social and outgoing little BIG man, has met all dogs on walks whether big or small with no signs of fear or aggression.  Has no issue over food – and sits patiently with his foster brothers at treat and meal time.  He is clean in the house, sleeps the night, knows Sit and High Five,  loves to ride in the car, he is a climber, and a “wanna be” lap blanket sometimes leading to an invasion of space by sneaking onto your lap when distracted.

Out on walks he is always eager to go out, and is a typical boy terrier, bustling and busy, looking, smelling, snuffling leaving wee-mails, he can pull a tad at the beginning but soon settles down.  Has shown no reactivity to cats as yet.  He loves squeaky toys and balls and will play tug, he likes to “dedd” things, but no surprise there really – he is a terrier after all!

He has a big personality and a big heart, and is full of love, he just wants to love you.  He would suit an active family that has a secure garden for him to sun himself in.  He will need to keep his brain active , and have a family that loves terriers – but maybe in their more mellow stage.  No young children due to his age – but a home with older teenagers with dog experience would be considered.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchip and passport and ready for his new home.

Age approx 10/11 – no cats or small furries

Timmy – Terrier Cross

A Spanish rescue contacted us and asked if we could help a boy named Timmy.

Timmy is a gorgeous tan and black boy – he looks like a longer legged version of our boy Rufus! He was a stray, knocked over by a car and left to fend for himself. They took him, he received vet treatment for his leg – and now he is ready for a new home. He is young – approx a year old.

He is dog friendly and people friendly – but still very nervous and shy. So please give a warm welcome to one of the new Treasure Hunt boys.

Pluto – Jack Russell Bodeguero Terrier

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=” pluto”]
Pluto is a gorgeous Bodeguero – a Spanish version of a Parsons or Jack Russell, they were originally bred to get rid of ‘vermin’ in wine cellars. A kind person moved him from his original home, as they wanted to get rid of him, potentially kill him, for not fault of his own. Luckily he was sent to the pound and then into our care. He is around 3 and has now settled in his foster home in Nottinghamshire, this is what the family says:

Pluto is a friendly and fun terrier who loves company! He is not keen on early starts, and is quite happy to laze in bed until breakfast time. In the house he loves to cuddle on the sofa or watch you pottering about. But he is quite relaxed about being left for short periods and often takes himself off to his bed when there’s nothing going on. He has fitted in to life in a home, housetrained and happy to learn new tricks, he is starting to play with toys. He’s got plenty of energy and a sharp mind he picks up new commands and lessons easily.
He gets quite excitable if we meet new dogs when walking, but we are working on that and as he grows in confidence the barks are lessening. Otherwise he is a pleasure to walk on the lead, gentle and happy when he sees people. He loves to romp and explore the local woods, that nose just hits the ground! Pluto loves pottering round the garden and is ever vigilant, on the lookout for the neighbours cats! Typical terrier when he’s focused on hunting his recall skills are somewhat forgotten! He is learning to play and loves a game of fetch or simply running around with you.
