Oscar – Welsh Terrier – Rehomed

Oscar is Reserved pending checks

We would like to introduce you to Oscar – the lively and loving Welsh Terrier

Oscar is 7 years old – he is neutered – he is looking for a new home.  He is a typical Welsh Terrier – and all the joy that entails

He is loving, sweet – loves a cuddle and having a good nosey in the garden. He can be left for short period of times, clean in the house and all round good egg.

Sadly he does not like children.  He can be unpredictable around them.  So we are looking for a child free home and one where there are no visiting children either.

He was attacked by a large dog about 3 years ago and this has made him fearful when out on his walks.  He can bark and growl at other dogs approaching and if they get too close he will defend himself.  He is always walked on lead and avoidance is the best policy.  He is fine with dogs he gets to know and realise they pose no threat.  Any new home would need to understand this and we will work with them to have best practice in place and ways to manage and improve this for him.

He is a typical welsh terrier – and as such he will need a house that understands him and gives him the time and space he needs.  Most importantly respect him and allow him to make choices that keep him stress free.

If you are interested in rehoming than please complete a Homing Questionnaire and return it to us

Rufus and Jess – Westie and JRT – Rehomed

This bonded pair are called Rufus and Jess.  They are a Westie and JRT – they have spent their whole lives together and need to stay together.  They are 9 years old – male and female

They have come into rescue as their family could no longer manage their care – things have changed drastically in their circumstances and after much discussion it was felt that it would be best they find a new home.

They are lovely dogs, love people and are fine with children.  Could live with another dog – with proper introductions.  They currently live with a cat – they are not his greatest fan but they could in theory live with a dog friendly cat.

They are healthy and happy and just want a nice relaxed retirement home.

They are shortly going into foster and we I’ll have more updates.

Leo – Fox Terrier Cross – Rehomed

Update – August 2022 – Leo is currently in the UK and will shortly be going into foster – so we will be having more updates.  He is doing well and is a really sweet dog.  He is good with other dogs – and just wants to play

Still shy with people – but he warms to you once he realises you are his friend.

He is looking for his forever home – if you think you may be the right home lease complete our Homing Questionnaire

Update – Leo has had all his treatment for Leish and is now testing negative.  Going forward he will still need monitoring and regular blood tests – but it is onwards and upwards for this boy.

He will hopefully coming to the UK at the end of Feb 2022 – we are looking for a foster/adoptive home.  We are told he is fine with dogs and people – just a young active boy

****

This is our new addition – he was in a perrera in Spain and originally reserved – but when the person found out he had Leishmania they decided not to save him.  We were approached as he was running out of options.  We said YES!  He is a delightful boy, gets along with people and dogs – and he deserves a loving home and a second chance.

He is safe in kennels in Spain and he has begun his treatment of Leish and we will update as we get more photos and information

If you would like to foster or adopt (in due course) please download a HomingQuestionnaire2022

Chiqui (Chiki) – Senior Wire Fox Terrier – Rehomed

Update – he was rehomed in Spain with his original rescue – good luck Little man!

We have been asked if we can help this old boy in Northern Spain. He is called Chiqui (Chiki) – he is an old boy (DOB 2009) – he has a few health issues – but he deserves to live out his days in a home being loved.

He is currently in kennels in Spain and we would prefer to move him to foster/adopt family rather than bring him here to be in kennels. He is safe but deserves better.

This is what the volunteers in Spain say: He is a happy , affectionate boy that loves getting cuddles and scritchies. He is a typical terrier – active for his age. He can be selective with males – so best as an only dog or with an easy going girl. No cats/small furries. He does have a heart murmur that is being managed by meds, and he had his spleen removed (we can discuss further with any prospective home)

We think he deserves his own retirement home – could this be you?

Please go to our Homing page and download a Homing Form –  Rehoming Questionnaire if you feel you are suitable

Skye – Terrier Cross – Rehomed

Look at this cutie – she was handed in to a Vets in Spain – she is about 11 months old and a doll. She is still learning to live an urban life – but she loves people, playing with dogs and getting cuddles.  She does not have sight in one eye due to a congenital defect.  This does not hold her back but it will need to be managed and monitored.  She may need it removed in the future if it becomes to cause her a problem (it is no problem for her at present)

She is a terrier cross we think, but all cuteness.

She is in Spain and will be coming to the UK shortly – we will update the website after her arrival
